I'm Irene Carstairs, and I'm here to make you look smarter than you really are. I do historical research, so you don't have to.

My parents gave me the Oxford Children's History Encyclopedia for Christmas when I was eight, and it's all been downhill from here. I'm fascinated by the forgotten corners of history--the civilizations and the women who are so often overlooked. As well as the ridiculous nonsense inherent to human nature. I love some good nonsense.
